Barbara Kasten creates geometric abstractions, which are inspired by László Moholy-Nagy’s Lichtmodulator. The indispensable instruments of light and shadow in the photograph serve as her so-called constructs with which she transmits not only moving elements on paper, but adds new and moving forms in space.
